My name is Becky Claypool- current Dept. Assistant Secretary and District Six President. I am the wife of a Navy veteran and the daughter of a Vietnam veteran. Serving veterans is deeply personal to me, not only because of my family, but also because I work for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Caring for those who have served our nation is both my profession and my passion.
I joined the Covington VFW Auxiliary Post 2395 in 2021. Just one month later, our historic post was destroyed by fire. While many believed it was the end of our post, my husband, Jeremy, stepped forward to lead the rebuilding effort. He has proudly served as Commander of Post 2395 ever since. He is also a Past District 6 Quartermaster, the current District 6 Junior Vice Commander, and a fellow Department of Veterans Affairs employee.
Jeremy and I are partners in life and in our commitment to serving veterans. Together, we are dedicated to strengthening the VFW and VFW Auxiliary while honoring those who have served our country. I am honored to serve the Department of Indiana and look forward to many years of supporting our veterans, their families, and our communities.
