Jessie Davenport was installed as the VFW Auxiliary Department of Indiana Jr. Vice President at the State Convention on June 10, 2023.

Jessie is a lifetime member of the VFW joining VFW 2749 Kendallville in 2015. Jessie joined under her father, Carl Eicher, who served in WWII participating in the Normandy Invasion with the US Army. She also has a brother who retired from the Army; a son-in-law serving in the National Guard; and several nieces and nephews who actively or have served in different branches of the military.

Jessie is starting her 8th year as VFW 2749 Auxiliary President at VFW 2749.  She was District 4 President for 2019-2021 and held several Chairman positions starting in 2018.  In the 2021-2022 year, she served as Department of Indiana Guard, Chairman of Youth Activities and was on the Audit Committee.

 Jessie retired in 2021 from OmniSource LLC in Fort Wayne in after 16 years as a Logistics and Rail Specialist. She graduated from IPFW in 1992 with a B.S. in Economics.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking and golfing.
